Join us at the King of the Wing Saturday, June 10th from noon to 5pm at Magens Bay Beach, St. Thomas.  The event is open to the public and free to attend, BUT PLEASE SUPPORT THE BAR and CHICKEN WING Sales!

Tickets for chicken tasting are 15 for $20 or 3 for $5.  A wing is 1 ticket.  Drink prices range from $2 to $5.  All proceeds go to Junior Achievement of the Virgin Islands. King of the Wing (KOW) is organized by Alpine Securities and White Bay Group.

Since the competition’s inception in 2010, the event has raised crucial funds for local non-profit organizations.  Participation, community support and monies raised have continued to grow each year.  Last year’s King of the Wing boasted 42 participating teams, and thousands of people in attendance, the largest KOW to date!

Now in our 8th year, our hope is to continue to grow the event in order to provide greater financial support to the benefiting organization.  Our goal for 2017 is $150,000 raised! This year’s beneficiary, Junior Achievement of the Virgin Islands (JAVI) is a 501(c)3 (EIN#66-0717603) recognized organization, dedicated to helping young people in the Virgin Islands learn the economics of life and the free enterprise system.

The Mission of JAVI, and other chapters of the JA Worldwide program, is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in the global economy. Junior Achievement has programs at all educational levels, including after school programs. Nothing brings a community together like amazing food, non-stop music and a beautiful setting for a noble and worthwhile cause, and KOW has quickly become the largest culinary competition in the Virgin Islands. It has also helped make charitable giving a high-profile and fulfilling concept for everyday Virgin Islanders through its broad reach within the community.
